It has been almost eight months since our last blog post. Time flies – we all know the feeling, but in a fast-growing startup like GlobalAssist, it honestly feels like it flies twice as fast. A lot has happened since our launch at the beginning of 2025, and we are thrilled to share these major milestones with our community.
Strong Growth and Top-Tier Quality Across Africa
We have successfully established ourselves as a household name not only in Madagascar but now also in Tanzania and Kenya. We are receiving daily bookings across all three countries. Looking back at our journey since early 2025, our track record makes us incredibly proud: well over 4,000 completed bookings and more than 10,000 happy travelers. Even better, our reviews keep improving the longer a destination is active. In Madagascar, for instance, we have received absolutely nothing but 5-star reviews for the past six months – not a single exception.
What our clients love most is the first-class, personal, and incredibly fast service provided by our local tour operators. Our team on the ground has grown significantly, now counting 10 experts in Madagascar, 6 in Tanzania, and 5 in Kenya. The longer our teams work together, the better local partners (like drivers and guides) they find. This leads to a powerful win-win: higher quality and better prices. Our concept is proving to work brilliantly, not just as a short-term success, but even more so in the long run.
Alongside the premium quality, our customers constantly praise our highly attractive pricing. We frequently read that we offer the best rates in the market. It is deeply rewarding to know that we can maintain a perfect 5/5 quality rating while keeping prices budget-friendly. In fact, many clients write that they would gladly give us 12 out of 10 stars if they could.
Technological Innovation and Smart AI Integration
Our IT and booking systems are running smoothly. Since the core functionalities have been stable for a few months now, we are focusing our energy on continuous optimization and cutting-edge tech. We have fully overhauled our partner network and streamlined our data so we can generate tailored offers faster without having to look up information from scratch every single time.
Furthermore, we have integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) into several of our key workflows to empower our teams:
- Intelligent Partner Matching: While a tour operator is talking to a client, our system automatically searches and extracts the most suitable local partner contacts in the background, drastically cutting down manual search time.
- Automated Proposal Creation: A new proposal AI now handles the formatting and standardization of our travel offers, ensuring everything looks flawless and manual formatting errors are a thing of the past.
- Content Quality Control: We utilize AI to monitor and refine the text and content of bookings, ensuring everything remains clean, professional, and consistently structured.
Professionalizing Our Teams and Smarter Recruiting
For anyone interested in joining the GlobalAssist family at one of our branches like MadaAssist, TanzaniaAssist, or KenyaAssist, we have exciting news. Our recruitment process is now fully automated up to the practical trial day. The system screens and qualifies candidates through specialized tests, allowing us to maintain a constant pool of highly trained, qualified new agents ready to step in as demand continues to scale.
We have also upgraded our internal learning and development tools. Wherever people work, mistakes happen – and we are no exception. With our new error-tracking system, which connects directly to our performance incentives, we now calculate a monthly Quality Score for each agent. Team members receive automated notifications about mistakes, clear guidance on how to improve, and full access to their own error statistics. This transparency helps our teams learn fast and efficiently avoid repeating the same mistakes.
Marketing, SEO, and Becoming a Full-Service Tour Operator
We have been working hard on our marketing, SEO, and Google Ads. Previously, we faced a minor SEO challenge because Google categorized us merely as a "booking service" due to our early website copy. Today, we are proud to operate as a full-service tour operator: we curate, organize, and manage tours from A to Z. GlobalAssist acts as both the travel agency and the tour operator under one digital roof – fast, seamless, and entirely online.
Tracking remains an interesting challenge since a large portion of our sales happens directly via WhatsApp. However, we have built a robust tracking system that allows us to see exactly which ads drive revenue. This gives us the confidence to scale our ad spend. On the SEO front, we are continuously adding standard itineraries to our portfolio and implementing web design upgrades to position our brand perfectly for human visitors, search engines, and AI chatbots alike.
It is incredibly exciting to see AI platforms like Gemini and ChatGPT frequently ranking MadaAssist as the top recommendation for high-quality, budget-friendly tours in Madagascar. We are working hard to ensure that traditional Google search results catch up soon, as we are currently still undervalued in organic rankings for competitive terms like “Madagascar Tours”, “Tanzania Tours”, and “Kenya Tours”. We have some work ahead of us to show Google's algorithm what our customers already know: that we are absolutely crushing it.
The Next Big Step: Expanding into Asia
Our roadmap always stated that we would expand into Asia as soon as Kenya and Tanzania became stable and financially self-sufficient. We have officially reached that milestone! In 2026, we will definitely establish our footprint in Asia. Our target destinations for this year are the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.
Before launching, we are taking the time to finish our homework on the technical side. Because every website optimization has to be duplicated with each new country we add, perfecting the core system now saves us massive amounts of work during expansion. We already have great candidates interested in the Country Manager role for the Philippines, so the first steps in Asia are likely just a few weeks away.
The sheer scale of the Asian market gives us healthy respect. Seeing our Madagascar team of 10 tour operators fully booked makes the prospect of a massive tourism hub like Thailand – which sees a hundred times more tourists – slightly intimidating. Handling that volume might mean managing hundreds of operators down the road. However, we will take it step by step, completely stress-free. Because we grow organically out of our own revenue and operate without external investors breathing down our necks, we have the luxury of taking our time to do things right.
To support this growth, we are also planning to expand our central platform team. Currently, the entire system, platform development, and finance are managed by myself as the founder, alongside one fantastic tour operator who works part-time as a Quality Manager for internal training. We look forward to bringing a dedicated Website Content Manager on board soon to speed up our online growth.
A Massive Thank You
