TanzaniaAssist is Live – Expanding Happiness, One Country at a Time

Samuel Mäder

After three months of incredible growth with MadaAssist in Madagascar – including record-breaking monthly revenues, nearly all 5-star reviews, and an enthusiastic team – one thing became clear:

If we can’t make our customers and employees even happier, then the only way to scale the happiness is to involve more people.

So that’s exactly what we’re doing.

Welcome to TanzaniaAssist.

We’ve officially launched in Tanzania – and our site TanzaniaAssist.com is now live. WhatsApp messages are being answered. Bookings are starting. And we’re ready to build the same kind of success that we’ve created in Madagascar – by making life easier for travelers and creating meaningful jobs for locals.

Why Tanzania?

Tanzania holds a special place in my heart. I’ve spent a lot of time here – in Dar es Salaam, on the beaches of Zanzibar, on safari in the parks. I know how beautiful, vibrant, and challenging it can be.

Yes, Uber and Bolt are available in Dar es Salaam — though not in Zanzibar. But Tanzania is about so much more than just calling a car.

  • Want to rent a boat? You’ll spend hours calling around.
  • Looking for a decent 4x4 for a road trip or safari? It’s a guessing game.
  • Want a simple bottle of olive oil? Believe it or not, I once spent half a day searching – unsuccessfully.

But if you know the right person, have the right number, and speak the language?
Then someone will show up on a motorbike and bring you exactly what you need. Fast, cheap, easy.
The problem? Most visitors don’t have those connections.

That’s where TanzaniaAssist comes in.

How We Help

TanzaniaAssist is here to bridge that gap. We’re building a human-powered, AI-enhanced service that gives travelers local access – to the people, the services, and the hidden resources they need to thrive in Tanzania.

Whether you’re a tourist in Zanzibar looking for a beach massage, a business traveler in Dar es Salaam needing a trusted driver, or an expat who just wants someone to bring groceries, we’re here.

And we price fairly. In Tanzania, foreigners often pay 2x the local price. Why? Because prices are negotiable, and if you don’t know the local rates, it’s hard to get a fair deal. We help travelers get the real local price while making sure local partners still earn well.

The Road to Launch

We had hoped to fast-track our launch in Tanzania using everything we’d learned in Madagascar. But every country is different.

Recruiting high-quality booking managers has been a challenge. We’re using Facebook Ads, Google Forms, and automated WhatsApp flows. But resumes and job experience here are different, and it’s taken more time than expected to find the right talent.

So, we’ve gone back to what worked in Madagascar:

  • Start with a WhatsApp group of locals to submit us supplier contacts and prices on request
  • Use experienced Malagasy team members to handle customer communication
  • Train slowly, grow steadily, and let quality lead the way

It’s already working. Slowly but surely, we’re answering inquiries, organizing services, and preparing for our first full bookings.

The Vision: More Simplicity, More Jobs

Our mission remains the same:
To make life easier for travelers and create great jobs for locals.

We want Tanzanian clients to benefit from flexible, dignified work. We want tourists to get amazing service. And we want AI and automation to enhance – not replace – human connection.

Madagascar was just the beginning. Tanzania is next. And if we succeed here, we’ll move on to other countries where life is beautiful but complicated – and where we can help simplify it, together.
